GodScrypt

SIMPLE ENCRYPTED EMAIL

It is a fact that government agencies and private sherlocks around the world employ expensive hardware and software, without judicial warrant, to wiretap our email and phone conversations.

Email Encryption

GodScrypt is an encrypted email program that uses the SMTP protocol to send email, and the POP3 protocol to receive email. It applies state-of-the-art ciphers and hash algorithms to transform a source message into an outgoing encrypted message.

Typical encryption yields a random sequence of meaningless characters. GodScrypt takes each character and assigns to it a random passage from the Holy Bible or the Holy Quran. It assigns meaning to otherwise random noise. The beautiful encoded message is undecipherable without an agreed upon passphrase or password.

The following screenshots illustrate a source message and part of the encrypted result:

Because encrypted messages are several times larger than the original ones, GodScrypt is aimed at short communications.

Scripture Browsing

Given an encoded message in the form of random verses from the Bible and the Quran, it is possible to browse each verse. With one click over any part of a verse, its context, the entire chapter, is presented by the Electronic Text Center at the University of Virginia.

Oracular Properties

The program opens the Bible and the Quran at several simultaneous random pages: it may be used as a simple oracle if we seek a relationship between the original text, the passphrase, and the resulting code.

Portable Application

GodScrypt is a portable application. Portable applications don't require installation and don't leave a record of their usage on the host machine.

The program is distributed with a very simple installer that merely extracts and stores it on the user-specified folder. It doesn't write anything to the system registry.

We may run GodScrypt, without leaving traces, directly from a pen drive, at a cybercafé or wherever there is an available USB port.

Conclusion

The encoded text contains passages from both holy books. If you feel offended, please abstain from using GodScrypt.

The believer will recognize words from the same God, as revealed to jews, christians, and muslims; the unbeliever will at least appreciate a wonderfully inspired literature; and both will surely benefit from efficient encrypted email.

Side Effect

The religious argument for religious war is false.

Requirements

The program runs on Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 256 MB memory, 10MB hard disk or pen drive.
